Freeze-dried cricket powder

Freeze-dried cricket powder is a healthy and tasty ingredient to include in food preparations. It is rich in proteins (about 3 times the content of meat), calcium, iron and vitamin B12 (a vitamin lacking in vegetarian and vegan diets), with a limited amount of fat and calories. Nutrinsect, in collaboration with other international partners, has submitted to the European Commission the request for authorization for freeze-dried cricket powder for food purposes.
